What usually sits in the pile

A junk removal load is rarely one thing. It is the couch somebody stopped sitting on, two bags of clothes that never made it to the donation bin, a bed frame with a missing rail, a dead microwave, and the cardboard that piled up behind all of it. Some of what ends up in a junk pile cannot ride on the trailer. Paint, solvents, thinners and household chemicals stay where they are. So do propane tanks and any other pressurized cylinder, the patio and camping ones included. Motor oil, antifreeze and fuel cans are out, along with car batteries and anything still holding liquid. Pool and spa chemicals count as household hazardous waste, so those stay too. Asbestos, or material that might contain it, needs a licensed abatement contractor rather than a hauler. An appliance still hooked to gas, water or power has to be disconnected before it can go. And if the transfer station will not take something, Brandon cannot either, so ask about the odd item and he will check.
