Brandon Woodhouse runs B&H Junk Removal, and in Mohave Valley he prices the job and does the hauling himself. Send him a picture of the pile and he'll give you one number. Text a photo to (559) 479-1199. Mohave County runs the Mohave Valley Sanitary Landfill right here. That helps if you own a trailer. If you don't, the broken dresser sits in the carport until somebody with a truck comes by.

Mohave County's E.R.A.C.E. program plans cleanups with local leaders so residents have a place for heavy trash, and the county lists old couches, mattresses, tree trimmings and tires as what gets brought in. That works if the pile can wait and you can lift it. Brandon drives out to the house instead. He gets to Bermuda Dunes, Valley View Estates, Fairway Estates and Agua View Estates as readily as anywhere in town. Out on the lots strung along Oatman Highway and Courtwright Road, a long dirt drive decides where he parks. Nothing has to be at the curb, so he'll pull the mattress out of the back bedroom and carry it out.

He works out of Golden Valley, so Mohave Valley runs are a normal day for him. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 7 to 5, and he's closed Sunday. The minimum is $250, and the price comes off the photo as one number for the whole job. He hauls with a pickup truck with a trailer. A few things never go on it, so the list of what goes on the truck is worth a look first. Paint, propane cylinders, pool chemicals and motor oil stay behind. Anything the transfer station won't take is a no, and if he's not sure he checks.

A Topock or Golden Shores load gets sorted in the yard while he loads it, before the drive back out, so a working bed frame and a rotted fence panel don't ride to the same place. What's still good goes to a donation center first. Scrap gets recycled where it can be, and the real trash goes to the landfill. Leftover paint is one he leaves behind. The county tells residents to dry it out and put it in their regular trash, and its instructions say to take the lid off and keep the can half full or less until it sets up solid.

Questions

Questions about junk removal in Mohave Valley.

Does Mohave Valley have its own county landfill?
Yes. The Mohave Valley Sanitary Landfill is a Mohave County site, and the county says to get there off Highway 95, the Mohave Valley Highway, by turning on El Rodeo Road. Hauling it yourself still means loading it yourself, and that part is Brandon's job.
What does junk removal cost in Mohave Valley?
The minimum is $250. The guide to junk removal pricing has more on how the quote works.
What won't Brandon load in Mohave Valley?
Hazardous material and pressurized tanks. That rules out paint, solvents, thinners and household chemicals, propane and camping cylinders, motor oil, antifreeze and fuel cans, car batteries, pool and spa chemicals, and anything that might contain asbestos, which needs a licensed abatement contractor. Appliances still hooked to gas, water or power have to be disconnected before he can take them.
Where do Mohave Valley residents take household hazardous waste?
To one of the county's two collection events. Mohave County sponsors household hazardous waste collection events in Bullhead City and Kingman, and the county lists electronics among what residents may bring. Brandon hauls the ordinary loads here, and the same runs go out to his Bullhead City service area.
Does Brandon cover Topock and Golden Shores as well as Mohave Valley?
Yes, it's all one service area for him. A pile in Topock or Golden Shores gets priced off a photo the same way a pile in Mohave Valley proper does. Dirt drive or paved, he parks and walks the stuff out.
