Brandon Woodhouse does single item pickup in Golden Valley and across Mohave County. One item, loaded and hauled off: the couch in the living room, the dresser in a back bedroom, the dryer that has been in the hall since the new one showed up. Text a photo to (559) 479-1199. This is the small job. There is no pile to sort, so Brandon comes for the one thing you point at and carries it out from where it sits.

Most of these calls come from someone with exactly one problem left. A new washer got delivered and the old one is sitting in the way. A tenant moved out and left a mattress in the bedroom. Brandon prices the job, answers the phone and does the hauling himself, so the man who quoted the dresser is the man who picks it up. When it is a whole room instead of one piece, that is furniture hauled out in one trip.

A photo does most of the work here. One picture of the item where it sits, and Brandon can quote the job before he leaves Golden Valley. Say which floor it is on and whether a gate or a flight of stairs stands between it and the street. He works Monday through Saturday, 7 to 5, and he is closed Sunday. He is the one who answers, so you are not leaving a message with an office and waiting to hear back from somebody who never saw the picture.

What counts as a single item

A single item is one thing Brandon loads and takes away. Usually it is furniture or an appliance that got replaced: a sleeper sofa, a recliner, a dresser, a washer that is already unhooked. Sometimes it is a mattress off a guest bed, a bed frame, a treadmill in the spare room, a desk, or an old TV out of a closet. The other jobs on this site start with a pile. A garage cleanout means sorting. An estate cleanout means rooms and decisions. This one leaves that part out. Brandon knows what he is picking up before he leaves, because the photo showed it to him, and he is in and out with the one piece.

How he gets it out of the house

Nothing has to be at the curb. He walks it out of a back bedroom or the far side of a fenced yard himself. Tell him the access in the text: stairs and how many flights, a hallway the couch barely came through, a gate that stays locked. He works the carry out before he drives over. At an apartment or a rental, he will coordinate with the manager on the unit number and which stairwell or elevator to use, so nobody stands around waiting on a key. Once it is loaded on the pickup truck with a trailer, it leaves the property with him and the room is yours again.

What he will not load with it

Some things cannot ride along with the item. Brandon leaves paint, solvents, thinners and household chemicals where they are, and propane tanks are out, along with any pressurized cylinder, patio and camping sizes included. Motor oil, antifreeze and fuel cans stay. So do car batteries and anything still holding liquid. Pool and spa chemicals are household hazardous waste, so they stay too. Anything that might be asbestos is abatement work rather than hauling work, and a licensed contractor takes it. An appliance still connected to gas, water or power has to be disconnected before it can go. Anything the transfer station will not accept is off the list as well, so ask Brandon and he will check. The list of what goes on the truck spells the rest of it out.

What one item costs

Pricing starts at the $250 minimum. Brandon looks at the photo, then gives one number for the whole job. The quote comes off the picture, from the man who will be carrying it. You know the number before he is in the driveway. If you want the longer version of how he talks about money on bigger hauls, the guide to junk removal costs around Golden Valley walks through it. For one item, the photo and a text are enough. Text a photo to (559) 479-1199.

Where the item ends up

Donation comes first. If the dresser or the couch is still usable, Brandon tries a donation center with it before anything else. Scrap metal gets recycled where it can be. What is really trash goes to the landfill. That order matters more on a single item than on a big cleanout, because one piece of furniture in good shape has a real chance at a second house instead of a hole in the ground. If the item is still solid and you would rather it went to a donation center, say so in the text and Brandon will try that first.

Single items across Mohave County

Mohave County is spread out, and a single item call can come from any corner of it. Brandon is based in Golden Valley and runs out to Kingman, Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, Mohave Valley, Lake Havasu City, Laughlin in Nevada and Dolan Springs, plus smaller places like Valle Vista, Chloride, Oatman, Yucca and White Hills. One recliner in Dolan Springs is a different trip than one recliner two streets over, so put the town in the text with the photo and he can plan the day around it. His week runs Monday through Saturday, 7 to 5, with Sunday closed. Every town he runs to is on the towns and cities he hauls from.

Questions

Questions about single item pickup.

How much does single item pickup cost?
It starts at the $250 minimum. Brandon prices it off the photo you send and gives one number for the whole job.
Does the item have to be outside before he gets there?
No. Brandon goes in and gets it, so a couch in a back bedroom or a washer in the hall is fine. Mention stairs or a locked gate in the text so he knows the access ahead of time.
Will he take one appliance that is still hooked up?
Not while it is connected. An appliance still attached to gas, water or power has to be disconnected first, and then Brandon can load it.
Can a propane tank or a can of paint go with the item?
No. Propane tanks and any pressurized cylinder stay, and so do paint, solvents, thinners and household chemicals. If you are unsure about something the transfer station might refuse, ask Brandon and he will check.
Does Brandon work on Sunday?
No. He is out Monday through Saturday, 7 to 5, and Sunday he is closed.
How do I get a price for one item?
Send a picture of it. Text a photo to (559) 479-1199. One shot of the item where it sits is usually all Brandon needs to put a number on the job.
