Tree branch & brush hauling in Golden Valley, AZ
The pile from a weekend of trimming gets loaded and hauled off, right in Golden Valley.
Brandon Woodhouse hauls tree branches and brush out of yards in Golden Valley and across Mohave County. B&H Junk Removal is his own one-man outfit, so the man who texts back the price is the man dragging limbs to the trailer. Text a photo to (559) 479-1199. Brush is its own kind of load. A couch goes on the truck in one piece, but a limb pile tangles and has to come out an armful at a time.
Brandon loads the pile out of the back yard or the far corner of the lot. Nothing has to be moved to the front first, and nothing has to be bagged. A pile shoved against a block wall or heaped under the tree it came off still goes on the trailer, and so does the loose brush raked up around it. Wherever the limbs are lying, that is where he picks them up.
Brush rides alongside the lighter yard debris loads often enough that the two get booked together, a limb pile on one end of the trailer and bags of clippings on the other. What makes branches different is the handling. They have to be worked into the load one at a time, and they have to be dragged from wherever the tree stood. Brandon hauls it all in a pickup truck with a trailer. He prices it off a photo of the pile, one number for the whole job.

What ends up in a brush pile
A brush pile is rarely one thing. Under the limbs there are clippings off the hedge and dead shrubs pulled out by the roots, plus the trunk rounds somebody cut and never moved. Stumps already out of the ground go on too. Some calls are one tree. Others are a whole fence line that got cut back at once. Homeowners call after a trim they underestimated. Landlords and property managers call because a tenant trimmed, piled it up, and left it for the next person. Either way the pile is sitting where it landed. When wind brought the branches down instead of a saw, that belongs with the storm and monsoon debris cleanup work instead.
What a brush haul costs
The number starts with a photo. Brandon looks at the pile and texts back one number for the whole job. A brush load starts at a $250 minimum. Asking costs nothing. Brandon answers the phone himself, so the number comes back from the person who will be loading it. Take the photo from far enough back to show the whole pile, because the brush at the bottom is easy to miss from up close. If the pile is strung out along a fence line rather than heaped in one spot, say so in the message. Text a photo to (559) 479-1199.
Where the branches go
Brush is one of the few loads with nothing much to donate. On a garage cleanout Brandon runs the usable furniture by a donation center first, but limbs have no second life waiting for them, so the sort is short. What can be recycled is recycled where it can be. The rest of the pile goes to the landfill. If there is a wheelbarrow or a plastic chair buried in the brush that somebody could still use, he pulls it out and it goes to a donation center instead. He does the sorting, not the customer. Say so if you know something good is in there, so it does not get buried under a limb.
What Brandon leaves in the yard
Yard piles collect things that are not yard waste. The gas can from the saw stays, and so do the motor oil and antifreeze on the shelf beside it. The paint cans stacked by the pile after the fence got a coat stay too, along with solvents, thinners and household chemicals. So does the patio propane cylinder somebody set on top of the brush, and any other pressurized cylinder. Pool and spa chemicals left along the fence line are household hazardous waste and stay where they are. Same for the car battery under the clippings and anything else still holding liquid. If a limb pile is sitting on old siding that may contain asbestos, that work needs a licensed abatement contractor. If the transfer station turns something away, it stays in the yard too, so ask about it and Brandon will check.
How a limb pile gets loaded
Brandon works from the pile out. The long limbs come off first so they can lie flat in the trailer, then the loose brush and the bags fill in around them. Dragging does more of the work than lifting on this job. A long branch comes out through a side gate end first, and if the gate is too narrow, it goes around the long way. Stairs off a back deck mean carrying armfuls down rather than moving the whole pile at once. On a rental, Brandon sets the time with the property manager and works around a tenant who is home.
Brush calls across Mohave County
Brandon's base is Golden Valley, and the brush runs take him out through the rest of Mohave County. He loads limb piles in Kingman, Dolan Springs, White Hills, Oatman and Lake Havasu City too, and in Bullhead City, Fort Mohave, Mohave Valley, Laughlin in Nevada, Valle Vista, Chloride and Yucca. The whole list of towns he drives a brush load out of sits on one page. Put the town in the text with the photo and it saves a round of questions. Brandon comes to the property; there is no yard or shop address to haul a pile to.
