Hot Tub Removal

Hot Tub & Spa Removal in Bullhead City & Mohave County, AZ

A hot tub that has stopped working is one of the hardest things to get rid of on your own. It is too heavy to lift, too big to fit through a gate, and no ordinary trash service will touch it. We break it down where it stands, carry it out in pieces, and take the lot away.

Have the tub drained and the power disconnected before we arrive. Electrical work on a hot tub is an electrician’s job, not a hauler’s, and a full tub cannot be moved. Tell us on the call if either of those is a problem and we will work out the order with you.

What's Included

  • The tub broken down and carried out in sections
  • The shell, the cabinet, the cover and the insulation
  • Removal from a deck, a patio or a back yard
  • The pad or surround cleared of debris we created
  • Everything hauled away on the same visit

Common Situations

It has not been used in years

It stopped working, or the running cost stopped being worth it, and it has been sitting there since. Getting it gone is usually the last step of a patio you already stopped using.

It is behind a gate or up on a deck

This is why it is still there. Tell us what the access is like when you call, because that is the part that decides how the job goes.

A property is being sold or rented

A dead hot tub reads badly to a buyer and is a liability to a tenant. Clearing it makes the yard usable again.

It is being replaced

The new one is coming and the old one has to be off the pad first. Say when the delivery is so we can be straight about timing.

Our Process

  1. Call or text with the size of the tub and what the access is like
  2. Send a photo if you can, it tells us more about this job than a description does
  3. We give you the price before we come out
  4. We break it down on site and carry it out in pieces
  5. It goes on the truck and away to the transfer station

Hot Tub Removal Pricing

A hot tub broken down is bulky rather than heavy, so most of them sit inside a $250 truck bed once the shell is in pieces. A very large tub, or one coming out with the decking around it, goes to $500 with the trailer. Send a photo when you call, because on this job the access decides the price more than the size does.

ServicePrice
Full truck bed$250
Full truck bed and trailer$500

Anything smaller than a full truck bed is quoted. Call and describe what you have. Heavy material like broken concrete fills the bed on weight before it fills it on space, so tell us what it is and we will be straight with you about how many loads it is.

Typical Timeline

A standard tub broken down is usually one visit. A very large tub, or one that has to come out over a deck or through a house, can be more, and we will say so when we price it rather than on the day.

Where It Goes

The shell and cabinet go to the transfer station. Scrap metal, including the pump and heater assembly, comes off the load where it is worth doing.

  • Old decking around the tub, on the same load where it fits

We can't take

FAQ: Hot Tub Removal

Does the hot tub need to be empty before you come?

Yes. A tub full of water cannot be moved or broken down safely, and draining it takes longer than you would think. Get it drained ahead of the day we agree.

Do you disconnect the power?

Have that done before we arrive. A hot tub is wired into the house and disconnecting it is an electrician’s job. Say so on the call if that has not been arranged yet.

It is behind a gate. Can you still get it out?

Usually, because we break it down rather than carry it out whole. Send a photo of the tub and the way out when you call, and we will tell you before the day whether it is straightforward.

Will you damage the deck or the patio taking it out?

We work to avoid it and we will tell you up front if we think something is at risk. If the tub is built into a deck, that changes the job, so mention it when you call.
